Outstanding sire Dynasty has long since been one of South Africa most successful and popular stallions around. The former Horse Of The Year and BSA graduate was once again in demand on the second day of the 2017 National Yearling Sale. Not only was Dynasty (sire of a R1.8 million yearling buy on the first day of the sale) responsible for a R900 000 colt on day two, but his son Rags To Riches was knocked down for R1.1 million during the concluding stages of the second day of the National Sale. Consigned by Avontuur Thoroughbred Farm, and catalogued as lot 327, the bay colt is a three parts brother to multiple Equus Champion and five time G1 winner Beach Beauty (also by Dynasty). Rags To Riches, who was purchased by , is out of the winning Capture Him mare Captured Time -a sister in blood to Sun Coast, the dam of Beach Beauty. He was purchased by Candice Bass-Robinson, who also trains the sire’s promising 3yo and Daisy Guineas contender Horizon. A full list of results and prices can be viewed online and live stream of the sale tomorrow will also be available on the website.
