Miss Frankel Sold Overseas As Broodmare Prospect

Avontuur Stud have announced their social media that Miss Frankel will be leaving South Africa for Europe, “where she will be exposed to some of the world’s greatest sires. We hope to see her progeny perform to great acclaim in future and will always be grateful for the time we spent with her in South Africa and at Avontuur.”

An #SAFbred by Frankel out of star Var mare, Val De Ra, it is a family that has served Avontuur with exception through their mare Minelli – producing the likes of Gr1 horse and recent Hong Kong winner, Cue The Music, Tevez and Palladium. Val De Ra’s other daughter by Oasis Dream, Dream Da Ra, has produced a super colt by William Longsword this season.

Miss Frankel raced with success to three wins, including the Kwazulu Natal Listed Stakes (pictured), for trainer Dennis Drier.

Her Trippi half sister, All That Jazz, topped the 2020 Cape Premier Yearling Sale at R1,650 000 and in another first, was also the first yearling to be bought for export to Australia via Mauritius and the UK.

We look forward to Miss Frankel doing South Africa proud in the breeding paddocks overseas.
