Captains Ransom, the current Equus Horse Of The Year, made an impressive debut for her season at Kenilworth on Wednesday.

Now a winner of 13 races, the daughter of Captain Al was partnered by her regular pilot Richard Fourie, and won comfortably by over two lengths over the 1400m trip from Firealley, Captain Of Stealth and Do It Again, with Waterberry Lane and One Way Traffic finishing further down afield.

Owned by Suzette Viljoen and trained by Justin Snaith, the Moutonshoek bred filly will have all eyes on her once more for the coming season!
