Drakenstein Stud continue to dominate the national breeders log with over R16-million in stakes earnings and 17 Black Type wins for the current season, and another filly they have to look forward to is smart debut winner, Symphony In White (What A Winter), winning by just over a length under Aldo Domeyer at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Tuesday for trainer Candice Bass-Robinson.
It was a 1-2 result in the race for the winning breeders of the Hollywoodbets Durban July and L’Ormarins Kings Plate for the season, with Dark Winter finishing second.
The beautifully named daughter of Snowdance (Captain Al) is a half sister to Gr1 Hollywoodbets Cape Guineas winner, Snow Pilot, the Lancaster Bomber colt trained by Justin Snaith.
Snowdance, a 5-time Cheveley Stud-bred winner including the Gr1 Cape Fillies Guineas and Gr1 Majorca Stakes, has a 2022 Futura colt to come through, named Pure As Snow. This is the family of the incomparable Mystic Spring.
Drakenstein are boasting outstanding statistics, with an incredible Average Earnings Per Runner of R101,248 and a winners to runners percentage of 38.4%.
Congratulations to Drakenstein and the connections!
