Broodmare Lovely Jubbly (Rakeen), the dam of Gr2 Golden Slipper winner Cockney Pride, has produced a double today across two provinces for Ambiance Stud.
Race 6 saw Devil A Saint win under jockey Sean Veale in the Class 4 race over 1600m for owners Denis Le Breton & S S Govender, trained by Des McLachlan. The full brother to Cockney Pride by Querari enjoyed his second win at Hollywoodbets Durbanville.
His year older Wylie Hall half brother, Poets Warrior, followed up with a winner immediately after at Turffontein for father son training duo, Mike and Adam Azzie and jockey Gavin Lerena. Debuting over 2600m, it was the geldings fourth career win for owners Messrs G W Mackintosh and Justus van Wyk. Incredibly Poets Warrior has only missed earning a cheque on two occasions of all his starts.
This is the female line of Singapore Sling, Grand Emporium and Whistling Dixie.
According to www.nhra.co.za records, Cockney Pride has produced two foals to date for Ambiance Stud – a Vercingetorix colt named Cockney Gold born in 2022, and a Hawwaam colt Bows And Bells in 2023.
