The South African Equine Trade Council, trading as Racing South Africa was formed in 2001 and is responsible for promoting South African Bloodstock of all breeds to world markets.
Racing South Africa is a non-profit company and is a member of the Association of Export Councils, supported via the Thoroughbred breeding industry, and funding from The Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC).
The functions and administration of the SA Equine Trade Council fall under the auspices of the TBA.
The objectives of the Trade Council are:
To promote South African bloodstock to global markets
To facilitate trade
To grow foreign direct investment in our local industry
To grow exports
